… the way we pay attention to the world can make a huge difference in the way we experience it. Explore your surroundings and create your own ideas about what you find; everyone’s definition of the same exact word will always be different from yours so get out there and discover your own truth …
Schoolings
roam the waters in clusters
with neighbors
navigating different shades of blue
changing by the league traveled
taking in the reflections of surroundings
shimmering on the scales
of all the other fish in the sea
there are so many others
bouncing the light’s rays off into the universe
for everyone else to see them
the same image will always differ
given the canvas
or the audience
carrying more stories about the oceans
than the tides themselves
because the refractions are advancing with the pack
or not
but either way
they echo for miles
until the final wave ripples into shore
around swarm the fish
gathering to feed
to speak
to explore
a fish out of its natural waters
always disappears
gradually dying by degrees
because oceans were never meant to have walls
and even the grandest tanks
with the realest of fake currents
is missing the pull of the moon
